The Freedom Fight: Why You Are Underutilizing God's Love and Christ's Sacrifice
This year as a nation, we recently marked a massive milestone, celebrating 250 years of independence and freedom. But if your understanding of true liberty is tethered to a date on a human calendar, you are living inside a massive illusion.
Many independent builders and leaders are stuck in a holding pattern, begging for a breakthrough that was already finalized before time began. We struggle to find momentum because our foundation is cracked by a historical misconception about the gospel message, one that places distance, shame, and continuous punishment at the center of our identity.
To step into unshakeable marketplace and ministerial territory, we must correct our blueprint and confront the truth of how much we have been loved from the very start.
The Misunderstood Eviction
Growing up, most of us were told a dangerous religious myth: that God kicked Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden simply because He was angry and needed to punish them. We were taught that God is so holy and humanity is so sinful that He cannot stand to look at us, meaning that when He looks down, He has to look through a "Jesus blanket" just to tolerate our presence.
Think about how twisted that is in real life. As a father to a daughter and four stepsons, I don't need a blanket to tolerate looking at my children. I see them uniquely for exactly who they are, and I love them individually.
God does not have a vision problem. He did not remove humanity from Eden out of punishment; He did it out of absolute, merciful, fatherly protection.
"Then the Lord God said, 'Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. And now he might stretch out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever'..." — Genesis 3:22
God saw that if humanity ate from the Tree of Life while trapped in a fallen state of brokenness, they would be frozen in that corruption for eternity. He evicted them to block their access until things could be set right. Even that flaming sword stationed at the east gate wasn’t an executioner, ancient commentaries reveal it was a manifestation of the Shekinah presence, a direct type and shadow of Christ guarding our future capacity until the perfect moment of restoration.
God is never locking a door on your infrastructure to punish your past. He is simply sealing the gate to protect you until He engineers a premium relocation.
The Eternal Solution vs. The Delayed Transaction
We often visualize a timeline where Adam sinned, thousands of years passed, and then the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit scrambled to put a rescue plan together. But the scriptural reality is that the cross on Calvary wasn't a sudden, reactive backup plan to change a distant Father's mind.
Before God ever formed Adam from the dust, the sacrifice was already an eternal fact.

The Lamb Slain: Revelation 13:8 explicitly states that the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world.
Foreknown for You: First Peter 1:20 reminds us that Christ was foreknown before the foundation of the world but appeared in time for the sake of you.
The Manifestation: The cross was simply the grand physical display of a love that existed before time began, designed to finally get it through our small brains just how much we have been loved the entire time.
Because this cross was an eternal fact, access to the Father didn't just abruptly start in the New Testament. It’s the reason Enoch could walk so closely with God that he bypassed death entirely. It's why Elijah could call down fire with absolute confidence. They weren't waiting around for a future calendar date; they were actively leveraging an eternal, fatherly relationship through nothing but faith.
When you treat the cross like a delayed transaction rather than your permanent position, you underutilize the sacrifice. You stop operating like an executive heir and start begging for what has already been given.
Step Back Into the Garden Blueprint
When Jesus opened the gate back to the garden, He didn't just give us a ticket to heaven for after we die. He restored our legal right to access the Tree of Life and experience the physical, tangible presence of the Father right now while we are toiling, building our families, and scaling our businesses on this earth.
A slave constantly reacts to what is happening in real-time based on fear and market shifts. A mature son executes based on the unshakeable character of a Father who already won the war in eternity.
If your current business operations or emotional states feel wishy-washy, it's time to anchor your feet back onto the rock of Christ. Stop keeping yourself outside the garden gates.
